Similan Islands and the mantas rays
The Similan Islands and the manta rays will be coming back soon. Divers are saying the visibility is crystal clear. Some of the corals which were destroyed by El Nino are coming back to life. The weather is great with blue skies to-day. Although the weather men say we are to expect a storm. They have been wrong before and lets hope there wrong again. Today is a great day in Khao lak and everybody is excited about the coming season.
Whats even more exciting is the sighting of manta rays at Ko Bon. This is an unexpected surprise for all the divers and snorkelers.
The primary reason why people come half way around the world to the Similan Islands is to see the Manta Rays at Koh Bon. These are oceanic mantas with a wing span of over six meters and the island of Koh Bon is their main feeding ground.

- When mantas are born they weigh roughly 20lbs and are a staggering 45 inches wide
