Similan Diving
Similan diving in the crystal clear waters that encompass the Similan Islands, you will not find a larger diversity of marine wildlife anywhere else in the world. Large granite boulders and colorful sea fans create a thriving underwater landscape that is completed with a variety of soft and hard corals. Similan diving also offers a range of different dive sites.
The east side of the Similan Islands are home to some stunning coral reefs, broken up by patches of sand and huge rock formations. The west side is better known for its domineering underwater granite boulders that form numerous natural swim-throughs.
A) Similan Diving Slow Boat
A slow relaxing way to reach the Similan Islands is to take a slow boat. Your journey takes three hours giving you enough time to enjoy your Thai /European breakfast, sunbathe or simply relax and look out over the Andaman Sea. The slow boat also gives you the chance to watch the sun set on the return leg of your trip while sipping a cool beer after a hard day of fun. We can also provide a videographer to capture your Similan adventure.
B) Similan Diving Speed Boat
The speed boat takes one hour to reach the Similan Islands. This is perfect for anyone who wants to get to the Similans and spend as much time there as possible. Lunch can be eaten on the islands and divers are free to explore the in between dives. If you choose to take the Similan diving speed boat you will be sipping cocktails back at your resort well before sunset.
Diving Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock
Must-see attractions if you’re thinking of diving in the Similan and surin Islands
Why should they not be missed, because there is a huge diverties of marine life here. Each dive site offers something different. I would recommend snorkeling in Ko Bon but i would leave Koh Tachai and Richelieu rock to the divers.
Khao lak Local Wreck Dive
Boonsung Wreck
Around 20 years ago, a tin dredger called Boonsung sank to the bottom of the Andaman.Since the boat met its demise, a whole host of natural marine life has made the hull of the boat their home. The sandy seabed is a haven of life for a variety of fish, while the wreckage of the boat attracts numerous shells and rare ghost pipe fish that can regularly be seen exploring the wreck.
This dive site boasts an abundance of macro life along with the ever-curious bat fish, a family of local porcupine fish, exotic lion fish, the cleverly camouflaged stone fish and a whole host of nudi branches. This is a must-see dive site and is perfect for everyone from beginners to experienced divers with large schools of fish as far as the eye can see.
