Khoa Sok Raft House

Khao Sok – 2day/1night – my experience

Sometime, I would love to be able to convey in words, exactly how I feel, when I experience certain adventures. Even if  i”m a native english speaker. I’m not good at saying what I see. Anyway, I went to Khao Sok national marine park last week. On an inspection. It’s important to me, to experience the Land Tours I recommend to customers.

If there good or bad or maybe something, just need to be changed to make the whole experience more pleasurable for the customers. It makes sence to weed out the bad trips from the good trips – is insurance included – is there a back up car? just in case the mini van breaks down, you really don’t want to be stuck somewhere in the mountains. Waiting for the drivers brother to get a lend of a hired car and you entire day is destroyed because you are stuck in the middle of nowhere for hours – Is there a medical box in the mini van or raft house or tree house?. What’s the food like? – will it blow your mouth off – is their European food available?.

If your staying over night – are the sheets clean – is there a rubbish dump at the back of your accommodations. That nobody told you about. Are the guides  knowledgable and professional – can they speak English/german/spanish. Do you get what you have paid for? So, off to Khao Sok on a 2day/1night  on the river rafters. The journey was comfortable and relaxed.

The crossing over to Khao sok lake was smooth. The raft house was very basic, with a mattress on the floor and a fan in the room. The canoeing was great and I felt safe with the guides, who were professional and informative. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty and most importantly, fresh. The area is so beautiful it will and did take my breath away.

They say – silence is golden. Well, this place was like being in Fort Knox vaults. I will return again at the end of low season because just by being this close to nature made me feel more connect to nature, more relaxed than I have been in years.
