The beauty of the Advanced Course is that its so easy. The Open water course is much more difficult. There is a lot of information to take in. Plus it is your first time in the water and it will be your first introduction to buoyancy. The advance Open water course is so much more relaxed and enjoyable. First of all you have 5 adventure to choose from.
The Adventure Dives you can choose from are:
- underwater navigation , You have to do this Adventure dive
- peak performance buoyancy
- Deep Dive, the most popular
- nigh dive
- boat dive
- search and recovery dive
- underwater naturalist dive
- underwater photography dive
- altitude dive
- fish identification dive
- propulsion vehicle dive
- drift dive
- dry suit dive
- multilevel and computer dive
- underwater videography dive
- wreck dive
The Advanced open water takes Two days. If you wish to do the night dive. You will have to stay over night on a Similan Islands Liveaboard. Navigation is mandatory, so really you have 4 adventure dive to choose from. My favorite Adventure Dives are:
- Deep Dive – 30 meters
- underwater navigation
- peak performance buoyancy
- nigh dive
- fish identification dive
The best thing about the Advanced course is that it can be achieved on a liveaboard or on a day trip.
