About the MV Koon 9
At an impressive 52 metres long, MV Koon 9 is one of the largest liveaboards operating in the Similan Islands. Its standout feature is its flexible schedule. Unlike traditional liveaboards where you have to wait for a fixed departure date, MV Koon 9 allows guests to join an ongoing trip by speedboat and choose how many nights they would like to stay aboard.
This makes Koon 9 an excellent choice if the dates of a conventional liveaboard don’t fit your holiday plans, or if you simply want the freedom to choose the length of your diving trip.
Features
With its large size comes plenty of space. MV Koon 9 has generous indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, a spacious dive deck and plenty of room for preparing and storing dive gear. Nitrox is available for qualified divers, and the large dive platform makes getting ready for each dive comfortable and well organised.
The flexible itinerary gives divers the opportunity to explore the Similan Islands and surrounding dive sites while choosing a trip length that suits their time in Thailand.
Safety
MV Koon 9 carries emergency oxygen, comprehensive first-aid equipment, life jackets, life rafts and onboard fire-safety equipment. Safety briefings and dive briefings are provided to guests throughout the trip.
Cabins
MV Koon 9 offers comfortable air-conditioned twin and double cabins, all with private en-suite bathrooms. With 20 cabins spread across such a large vessel, guests have a comfortable place to relax and recharge between diving days.
Food
Freshly prepared Thai and international meals are served throughout the day, along with snacks, fruit and refreshments between dives. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice, so please let us know when booking.
