Similan Diving Day Trips with Pirate Divers

Diving from a fast boat

Travel time to the Similan Islands, 90 minutes

This is the fastest way to get to the Similan Islands and there are a couple of choices for you, the catamaran or the speedboat. The main benefit of the catamaran is that there is more room to move around on board, this means that getting into your diving equipment does not need to be a hassle and the journey out is quite comfortable.

The speedboat is the fastest option to get to Richelieu Rock

The biggest advantage of diving the best dives sites, Koh Tachai, Koh Bon and Richelieu Rock, from these boats, is that they are all easily accessible by the smaller nifty boats (the speedboat and the catamaran). Each boat has a shaded area for keeping out of the bright midday sun, and there are toilet facilities on both boats. There are shorter surface intervals between each dive, this allows you to be back in your hotel room well before sunset. A delicious Thai lunch is served between the 2 dives of the day and transfers to and from your Khao Lak hotel are included.

The key benefits of these boats are that they are fast, getting you back to your Khao Lak hotel in time for sunset cocktails. These boats are not recommended for snorkelers on day trips to Koh Tachai or Richelieu Rock.

Diving from a Family boat

Travel time to the Similan Islands, 2 – 3 hours

This family boat provides a comfortable, safe and enjoyable way to see the Similan Islands. It is suitable for couples or groups of divers and snorkelers as they take good care of both. The divers will receive a complimentary dive computer for their safety and the snorkelers will be expertly looked after with a ratio of 8 guests per 1 experienced snorkel guide. This ensures that everyone has a safe and enjoyable day.

The benefits of this boat is that it is very comfortable, slow and relaxed

The wonderful cooks on board are kept busy all day. They prepare a freshly cooked breakfast and lunch, and snacks are available throughout the day. There is a spacious shaded dining area where you can enjoy your delicious food and there is a non-shaded upper deck for relaxing on under the sun (but remember your sun screen!). The air-conditioned lounge offers a space to cool off in, this makes it a great option for families with kids, and the bar downstairs provides you with refreshments after your exciting day of snorkelling or diving in the Similan Islands.

It is the best choice for divers with snorkelers and the air conditioned lounge is perfect for kids. So it is a good choice for all groups of people. Join us for Similan islands diving day trips!
