 Advice for Similan Divers & Snorkelers. if you have decided to join us on a Similan day trip snorkeling or scuba diving. There are some things that you should do and bring. On some of the similan day boats, they offer free soft drinks. which is great bonus but please remember that soft drinks, dehydrate the body and if you are not used to the heat you can become light-headed or even faint. The main reason been is a lack of water.  Most companies have electrolytes and they provide all the minerals you lose when you perspires. One electrolytes to two litres of water. If you have any special food requirement please tell us beforehand. Especially if you have any allergies. I can then inform the cook and she will prepare a meal especial for you.

The fins most companies use are full footed fins and the size range 34-35, 36-37, 38-39, 40-41,42-43, 44-45, 46-47. Not every bodies foot will fit this fins size. I advise everybody to bring socks with them. Its better if the fins are a little to big then to small.By using your sock you will have a better fit  in you fins without your feet being cramped. Plus the socks will reduce any friction against your skin If your fins are to small you might get cramps in your legs.

Please bring some money as  a videographer will be on board to capture you day trip experience.

Snorkeling in the Similan & Surin Islands is an amazing time. Clear blue water white sandy beaches. Your miles away from  your home and  the weather you left behind. I can not stress enough time how important it is not to forget sunscreen and after lotion. Make sure your sunscreen is waterproof. If you have very sensitive skin, buy your sunscreen in your country. The best thing to wear when you are snorkeling is a rash-vest. Its light and it will protect you totally against the sun rays. If you don’t have a rash-vest you can wear a T shirt but alway put sunscreen on your legs and arms.

Advice for the Divers

If  you have dived on a day trip and only dived two dives, wait at least 18 hours before you board a plane. If you have done multiple dive wait at least 24 hours if not longer.
